‘Sausage Party’ director Conrad Vernon will overlook and develop the project for Warner Bros.

This will be ‘The Jetsons’ second theatrical film, following after 1990’s ‘Jetsons: The Movie’. ‘The Jetsons’ returned earlier this year after a 30 year hiatus thanks to WWE in the direct-to-video animated film ‘The Jetsons & WWE: Robo-Wrestle-Mania!’.

‘The Jetsons’ joins the studio’s other animated films in active development like ‘Scooby-Doo’ and ‘The LEGO Movie Sequel’.

Warner Animation Group is known for their critically acaliamed animated films of ‘The LEGO Movie’ and ‘The LEGO Batman Movie’, while also releasing their first non-LEGO movie last year in ‘Storks’.
