Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
Marvel Studios’ latest release opened to massive numbers, opening with $145 million. ‘Volume 2’ ranks as the fifth biggest opening weekend for a film set in the ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’ and the second biggest opening weekend of the year so far (behind ‘Beauty and the Beast’). This is around $50 million more than what the first film opened back in 2014, showing signs that audiences have embraced the team of lovable rogues. I guess we are all Groots!
- Daniel’s Prediction: $135 million (6.8%) SO CLOSE
- Nic’s Prediction: $150 million (3.3%) RIGHT ON THE MONEY
- Opening Weekend: $145 million
