‘The Mummy’ has been remade a bunch of times as early as 1932, then again in 1959 and again in 1999 when it became a billion dollar franchise with a trilogy starring Brendan Fraser.

Now that it’s been nine years since the third and final entry in ‘The Mummy’ trilogy, Universal is hitting the reboot button once again, this time starring Tom Cruise taking the lead with the first look trailer for next year’s film.

There’s enough to be intrigued, yet worried at the same time. However, the action sequences look incredible enough for me to be intrigued with this new take on ‘The Mummy’ series. Although, we’ve seen Tom Cruise in the ‘Mission: Impossible’ movies climb the world’s tallest building and hanged off from the side of a plane. However, this time he will be facing against a mummy.

‘The Mummy’ stars Tom Cruise, Sofia Boutella, Russell Crowe and Annabelle Wallis. The film will be directed by Alex Kurtzman.

‘The Mummy’ debuts in theatres on June 9th, 2017.
