No mission is too big for Ethan Hunt, as he climbed the world’s tallest building, fought on top of a moving train, and even hanged off from the side of a plane. What will Hunt do next is anybody’s guess, but what we do know is that Paramount have announced the release date for the highly anticipated sixth installment.

Per Collider, ‘Mission: Impossible 6’ will debut in theatres on July 27th, 2018, with production to commence Autumn next year. This leaves the sixth movie to compete against an entry from the ‘DC Extended Universe’ with ‘Aquaman’ also releasing on the same date. So it looks like Ethan’s mission, should he choose to accept it, is to open ahead of ‘Aquaman’, or will it be an impossible mission?

Joking aside, Tom Cruise will return to play as Ethan Hunt, once again, with returning director Christopher McQuarrie, who will be the franchise’s first returning director after directing last year’s ‘Rogue Nation’ to stellar results.
