When movie studios announce release dates, most often they stick with the date, however at times, movies can move release dates multiple times. Just look at Paramount’s history of horror movie release dates, delaying ‘Paranormal Activity: Ghost Dimension’ and the upcoming ‘Rings’ four times each.

Moving away from horror films, Disney have announced release date shuffles for their upcoming Pixar sequels, as reported by Oh My Disney. ‘Toy Story 4’ has been delayed, for its second time, to its new date on June 21st, 2019. Its original release dates was June 2017 and June 2018. The June 2017 date was replaced with next year’s ‘Cars 3’, but what film is replacing the old ‘Toy Story 4’ date? How about the long waited, highly anticipated ‘The Incredibles 2’?

That’s right. ‘The Incredibles 2’ has been moved up to its new date on June 15th, 2018. How incredible! Its old date was June 2019. This means that ‘The Incredibles 2’ is moving ahead of schedule, but one has to wonder, since we know about the plot of ‘Toy Story 4’ the most, why is it getting delayed the most? Whatever the reason is, I’m stoked that the wait for ‘The Incredibles 2’ is now a year shorter.

Pixar Release Date Schedule:

  • Cars 3 – June 16th, 2017
  • Coco – November 22nd, 2017
  • The Incredibles 2 – June 15th, 2018
  • Toy Story 4 – June 21st, 2019
  • Untitled Original Pixar Film – March 13th, 2020
  • Untitled Original Pixar Film – June 19th, 2020
