We have another billion dollar movie this year.

‘Zootopia’ has crossed the billion dollar milestone, joining the elite billion dollar club, becoming the 26th film in history to do so (23rd when re-releases are excluded).

Additionally, ‘Zootopia’ is the fourth animated film in history to gross $1 billion (‘Toy Story 3’, ‘Frozen’ and ‘Minions’) and Walt Disney Animation Studios’ second film to gross $1 billion, the first was ‘Frozen’, and is the only animated company to have two animated films that have reached the billion dollar milestone – which is very impressive.

‘Zootopia’ is also Disney’s 11th billion dollar film, more than any other studio in history, and is Disney’s third distributed animated film to reach $1 billion, the other being Pixar’s ‘Toy Story 3’.
