Get ready for total awesomeness with DreamWorks Animation’s ‘Kung Fu Panda’.

The film is about Po the Panda, the ultimate fan of the Furious Five, but when Oogway sees a vision of an evil presence named Tai Lung striking fear and trouble in the valley, once more, it is up to the dragon warrior to save the day. The only problem, the dragon warrior is a panda.

‘Kung Fu Panda’ is hilarious, it’s heart-warming, and it’s just a total blast of awesome and fun. The villain is vicious, yet has a cute backstory that details the villain’s motifs and desires, becoming a threat to the central protagonists, but has a strong villain, that most films end up disappointing. The film’s central character is DWA’s take of an underdog story, proving he needs to believe in himself if he has the courage and strength to defeat Tai Lung.

The animation is vibrant and colourful, and even at times visually striking, e.g. Tai Lung’s prison escape scene. The action scenes are technically brilliant, and always moves the film are a fast-pace. One of my favourite scenes in the film incorporates a dumpling war between master Shifu and Po, that executes the film’s message, but a hilarious and clever scene.

‘Kung Fu Panda’ creates its own secret ingredient, with enough wit, enough heart, enough action and enough story to create one total film of unbelievable awesomeness.
